At Crime Prevention Security Systems, we are proud to be active members of the communities we serve. From Gainesville to Ocala to Orlando, our people are committed to improving quality of life by keeping people safe and making their homes and businesses more enjoyable. That commitment extends beyond just “doing our jobs” and into being upstanding neighbors, responsible corporate partners and invested community advocates.
Last month, that dedication was reflected in a pair of honors received from local publications and their readers.
Readers of Home: Living in the Heart of Florida voted Crime Prevention the Best Locally Owned Business. Coming directly from the community members we serve, this praise truly means a lot. Since opening our doors in 1975, we’ve made a point of always treating people the right way and striving to demonstrate our commitment to customers every single day. We promise to actively listen to customers’ needs, deal fairly and honestly, give the highest level of performance every time and behave respectfully and responsibly. Judging by this award, people must think we’re doing a pretty good job in those areas.
Our second honor of the month came when our Vice President of Development, Jorgia McAfee, was identified by Business: In the Heart of Florida as one of their Forty Under 40. Of course, here at Crime Prevention, we know Jorgia is a superstar, but it’s nice to know others appreciate her as well.
Jorgia is a Diplomat and Co-Chair of the Entrepreneur Roundtable for the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce, serves on several committees for the Builders Association of North Central Florida and assists with Junior Achievement.
Jorgia told the magazine her definition of success is, “doing what you love with people who you enjoy working with. For me, success is very much tied in to the ability to spend time with my family. This is one of the great rewards in working at Crime Prevention – I get to spend my days helping to keep our community safe while working with my husband Bobby McAfee, sister Jessica McKinney and parents John Pastore and Randi Elrad.”
We greatly appreciate this recognition from our community and promise to continue delivering the highest quality home alarm systems, commercial security systems and home electronics with the integrity and devotion you’ve come to expect.
